“We’re hoping to get Edwardsville people to come out here too.” “I’m anxious to meet some new people, but I know that some people from Troy or Highland come to Edwardsville for dinner,” Hopkin said. The first story will have two one-bedroom apartments in addition to the restaurant. The newly refurbished building, which was previously one story, will have four two-bedroom on the second story, which was built over the existing roof. Pfund added that additions to the building were made in the 1980s and again in the 1990s. Bank was the most recent of many occupants for the building, which Pfund Construction estimates to be 90 to 100 years old. “We’ll have coffee in the morning with bagels and other items and we’ll turn around and make it a gelato shop at night,” Hopkin said.
